Call for Abstracts: Showcase Your Work at the ZIG Conference 2026

The Zimbabwe Institute of Geomatics (ZIG) is pleased to invite researchers, professionals, students, innovators, government agencies, and industry practitioners to submit abstracts for the ZIG Conference 2026, taking place on 31 July – 1 August 2026 at the Clevers Lakeview Resort & Conferencing Centre, Masvingo.

Under the theme “Geomatics in Action,” the conference will bring together experts and emerging professionals to share innovative ideas, practical experiences, and cutting-edge technologies shaping the future of geomatics in Zimbabwe and beyond.

Participants can contribute through a variety of formats, including Oral Technical Papers, Professional Case Studies, Poster Presentations, Technical Demonstrations, Workshop Proposals, Innovation Showcases, and Exhibition Applications.

Submissions are welcomed under the following sub-thematic areas:

  • Surveying in the 21st Century
  • Mine Surveying & Geospatial Solutions
  • Engineering Surveys for Infrastructure
  • UAV, Photogrammetry & Earth Observation
  • GIS, Spatial Analytics & Land Administration
  • Building the Profession: Regulation & Training

Authors are invited to submit a 250–300 word abstract, including the title, author(s), affiliation, selected sub-theme, and presentation category.

Submission Details

Abstracts will be reviewed on a rolling basis, so early submissions are strongly encouraged.
